SAY SOMETHING PERFORMER REGISTRATION

Is there a monologue or scene from a work that you really want to perform, a story you want to tell, a piece from something you’ve written you’d like to showcase, or something new entirely you want to create to share?

Presented by Why's It Gotta Be? Theater Group, come out and perform it at Say Something! Volume Four: Love + Fear!

Performers may register solo or in pairs and are encouraged to perform a scene or tell a story regardless of genre, gender or age!

PREPARATION

Performers and performance duos should prepare two pieces - one to the theme of “love” and one to the theme of “fear.”

The pieces may be related to one another, but they do not have to be.

We encourage performers to think broadly on these themes - love and fear come in many different forms and can pertain to many different things. What is something that can be loved and something that can be feared? Do they go hand-in-hand, or do they seemingly have no relation?

REGISTRATION

REGISTRATION OPENING IN DECEMBER

Registrants should submit a video, audio recording, or text sample of the work they intend to perform when registering; or, if unscripted (i.e. telling a story), an outline or detailed description of what they intend to perform - samples may be informal.

Please note that due to the nature of this Say Something! (performers and performance duos selecting two pieces), not all who register may be able to perform - a notification of decision will be sent following registration.

REHEARSAL

A rehearsal will be held on Sunday, January 31 from 6:00PM to no later than 8:00PM at CitySpace in Easthampton, MA.

While encouraged, inability to attend this rehearsal will not restrict you from performing.

PERFORMANCE

The performance will be held on Saturday, September 29 at 7:30PM.

Similar to an open-mic, performers are expected to arrive prepared to perform.

Call time is 60 minutes before the start of the performance.

Please notify production staff of anticipated late call time arrivals or cancellations.
