FROM ASHES

BY ZACHARY KINSLEY-GREELEY

Lorne has been a soldier in the Fortuan army, traveling the world and fighting evernights who threaten human existence. Malyn has lived a more solitary life in the Peaks, learning the ways of the Phoenix Keepers. When these childhood best friends reunite after twelve years apart, both have experienced significant loss that’s changed them from who they were when they last knew each other. But more is at stake than just friendship as the two climb to the Peaks to see the newly risen phoenix and explore a threat to this realm’s magical balance.

An intimate two-person drama with the scope of an epic fantasy, Why’s It Gotta Be? Theater Group welcomes you to this premiere staging of Zachary Kinsley-Greeley’s From Ashes in an exploration of loss, love, and change.
