Why’s It Gotta Be? Theater Group is committed to producing fresh, queer, and gender diverse stories through theater that are accessible to connect our communities; to not only meeting but exceeding community expectations of the organization; and to providing opportunities to local performers, playwrights, and theater-makers to learn, work, and grow through engaging material.

To actively pursue this, it is necessary to provide members of our communities the opportunity to participate safely at all levels in all WIGB productions and events for their enjoyment and the enjoyment of our audiences.

Per WIGB Bylaws, all WIGB designated cast, production team members, and event staff must sign all relevant WIGB policies and agreements prior to beginning work on any WIGB event.

GENERATIVE AI

Per our bylaws:

“Generative AI content shall not be utilized in any capacity whatsoever in any WIGB event or production. If generative AI content is discovered to have been utilized in or to promote any Why's It Gotta Be? Theater Group production or business, said content shall be taken down and / or erased immediately. Unauthorized use of generative AI content may be grounds for removal from any Why's It Gotta Be? Theater Group production team(s) and / or the Why's It Gotta Be? Theater Group Board of Directors.”
